• Gallon size – professional coverage: Supplied in a full 1-gallon container, this solution is intended for shop and industrial use. Coverage will vary depending on part size, surface condition, and application method (brush or spray).
• Surface preparation matters: Parts must be clean and free of oils, waxes, lacquer, fingerprints, and residues prior to application. Proper surface preparation ensures the patina adheres and reacts evenly.
• Critical first coat: Apply the initial coat evenly with a brush until a dull film appears. The appearance of this film indicates the patina has adhered to and is actively reacting on the metal.
• Allow to air dry: After application, allow the surface to thoroughly air dry. Do not rinse. Additional coats may be applied after each coat has fully dried to build color and depth.
• Optional darkener pre-treatment: For a deeper, more authentic patina appearance, a JAX darkener may be applied to the metal before using Green Patina. This step is optional and used for artistic or decorative effects.
