The 4245 Steel Hawg metal boring system is a heavy-duty, compact permanent magnet metal boring system. Weighing only 35 lbs., this tool secures to any ferrous surface, such as iron, or magnetic grade of stainless steel as thin as 1/8". For effective cutting in a variety of materials, a two-speed gear shift allows you to reach speeds of 500 and 1000 RPM.
The 4245 Steel Hawg metal boring system features Quick-Change, Tang-Drive Steel Hawg Cutters. No wrenches or chuck keys are needed. These special carbide-tipped cutters are available in 25 sizes--from 1/2" to 2" diameters--each with a maximum cutting depth of 1". Durable, Precision MILWAUKEE Quick-Change, Tang-Drive Steel Hawg Cutters have multiple cutting edges requiring considerably less downward pressure than twist drills. A locating pin assembly ejects the slug when you finish the cut. An added plus, the variable flow control pumping system supplies Hawg Wash cutting fluid directly to the cutting surface.
Whether you are right or left-handed, the 4245 Steel Hawg metal boring system is easy to operate with its interchangeable feed handle. Features also include a switch/base interlock system to prevent the operator from turning the tool on before activating the magnetic base or removing the tool from the work surface before turning it off.
